This affordable Weems & Plath portable chartplotter kit is a discontinued navigation system designed for quick and accurate navigating with most charts particularly Admiralty leisure and Imray.
It is constructed of solid wood that incorporates an adjustable parallel arm fitted with a moveable compass rose.
An acrylic sheet overlays and protects the chart allowing for making notations using dry erasable markers.
It enables easy plotting of compass courses and firmly supports chart work whether in the cockpit, on deck or below.
Set the compass rose to true or magnetic north and then plot the course by aligning the rule to the intended course.
The rule overlays the course on the rose allowing quick determination of a compass heading.
