Description
A great sounding American Banjo from the golden era. This 1920s, 19 fret Maybell Style B tenor banjo was made in Chicago. 3 piece neck with centre ebony strip for strength, and an ebony heel cap. The centre of the resonator has a floral inlay (see Photos) and has a integrated nickel plated flange .The neck is straight with good frets and low playing action. The side of the neck has white binding with black dot position markers. Ebony faced head stock bearing the ?Maybell? name in Mother of Pearl. Upgraded with new quality geared tuners. The pot is 3/4? thick with herringbone wood marquetry around the sides and a ?Donut? style tone ring, presto tailpiece and Remo Weatherking head. No case is included but a new Kinsman case can be offered for an additional ?60.
