A fabulous quality original 1900 signed & dated Naval Watercolour Portrait Painting depicting:
\'Capt George Forbes\'
The magnificent piece is mounted within the original 19th Century glazed & gilt moulded frame of which is of a beautifully aged patination.
We have not fully researched the sitter, but one can only imagine that there will be lots & lots of literature online relating to this very smartly dressed Captain.
To the reverse of the frame is an inscription which reads:
